Liam Byrnes is a Graduate Pre-Law Advisor and current UW Law Student (3L). He attended DePauw University for his undergraduate degree where he studied Music and Political Science. Before attending law school, he completed a Fulbright Grant in Thailand, worked as a server, and clerked at a medical malpractice/personal injury law firm in Chicago. At UW Law, Liam works in the Wisconsin Innocence Project, competes in Moot Court, works as a Student Ambassador in the UW Law Admissions Office, volunteers as a Tax Preparer for the IRS’s VITA program, and conducts research with one of his law professors. He worked as a non-partisan Election Protection Intern at the ACLU of Wisconsin during the 2024 election cycle and spent his 2L Summer at a Big Law firm in Chicago where he will work full-time after graduating.
As a Graduate Pre-Law Advisor, Liam is available to meet with any undergraduate student or alumnus of UW-Madison.
