AmeriCorps is now seeking members for year-long (August 19, 2015 – August 2, 2016) posting with the Schools of Hope Project. Members would be serving as both a literacy tutor as well as a tutor coordinator at a local elementary school. The position would require a commitment to 12 months of service.
The following benefits would be offered to members:
- Salary of $12,530, paid twice monthly
- Eligibility to receive a $5,645 education award upon completion of service
- Health insurance (will NOT cover family members)
- Reimbursement for child care expenses
